The Lotto jackpot, now £4400, was not won on Sunday night. The numbers were 3, 8, 17 & 20. £20 consolations
went to Sinead Cox, Boho, Kathleen Corrigan, Boho and Linda Beatty, Brookboro. The draw will be held in Old Pals this Sunday
night.
The club’s March meeting will be in the clubrooms at 8.30pm on Thursday night. A full attendance
of all committee members is requested.
All Junior A&B players are asked to attend a short meeting with their team managers in the changing
rooms immediately after training on Friday night. This meeting will serve to set out the plans for the coming weeks prior
to the start of the league on March 22nd.
Our minor team started their league match against Belnaleck well on Sunday, but were overpowered a bit
as the game went on by a very strong running home side. We are at home to Derrylin this Sunday, so best of luck lads!
Under 14 training commences on Saturday afternoon at 4pm. In an effort to reduce wear on our pitch,
we have hired the training pitch in town, and so a bus to training will leave the Casson at 3.30pm. Please come togged and
wear warm weather gear.
The club committee, players and members were very saddened to hear of the death of Mrs Mary Mc
Murray, Letterbreen last week, and we extend our sincerest condolences to Benny and his family. Benny is someone who has a
special relationship with many organisations in our area, ourselves included.

Club Notes 22nd
Oct 08
The Lotto jackpot was not
won on Sunday night. The numbers were 9, 12, 19 and 24. £20 each went to Karl Kehoe, Enniskillen, Katie O’ Brien, Boho,
and Ken Mc Teggart, Derrygonnelly.
The Lotto numbers in the draw held
on Monday 13th were 5, 12, 25 & 26. £20 consolations went to Eileen Waters, Derrygonnelly, Mary Gallagher,
Boho, and B Dundas/T Mc Gurn, Derrygonnelly. The draw will take place in the Cosy Bar this Sunday night and the jackpot is
now £2500.
Quite a lot of fixture details
worth clarifying this week. Firstly, the junior refixture versus Newtown is down for tonight at 8pm in Derrygonnelly. Might
be a good idea to check that one before travelling. The Under 12 final is refixed for Saturday at 2pm in Derrylin. The juniors
are away to Skea on Saturday evening at 5pm and our seniors have a massive one at home to Brookboro at noon on Sunday.
Good
luck to our immediate past chairman Adrian Mc Govern and his wife Anne who, are undertaking a charity cycle journey from Monea
to Sixmilebridge in County Clare this weekend to help raise funds for the Niall Mellon Township Trust project, which Aidy
has worked with for a number of years now. They would like sponsorship from any source possible, and all club members are
encouraged to support this fundraiser. Plus anyone who sees a clearly struggling grey haired cyclist on the road down the
west of Ireland this weekend is asked to show him kindness and beep loudly at him.
Anyone
who would like to keep up to date with events in the club, particularly from afar, is encouraged to check out our club website,
or they can be sent these notes every week by email. They can sign up either by emailing derrygonnellyharps@hotmail.com or visiting http://derrygonnellyharps.tripod.com and following the link.
Everyone involved with the club was
saddened to see two families bereaved over the weekend. Our sincere condolences go to the Mc Kenna family, Main St on the
passing of Sean who was a very proud Harps supporter, whose sons and grandsons grace our teams. Similar sentiments are extended
to the Mc Hugh family, Boho on the death of Maggie Mc Hugh, who had five grandsons who play for our club.
Club Notes | 17th Sept 08
The Harps Lotto of £8700 was won by
Miss Anita Rasdale on Sunday night! The numbers were 5, 9, 10 & 13. Congratulations to Anita, who bizarrely used the dates
of the championship semi and final to come up with her numbers! The Lotto jackpot goes back to £2000 now and the draw will
be in The Cosy Bar this Sunday night. It's still a great prize for a pound! The club will hold the draw for its allocation
of All Ireland tickets on Thursday night at 8.30pm in the clubrooms. Well done to our Seniors on their win in the semi
final of the championship. Good luck to the squad and their management in their preparations in the weeks ahead. The club
genuinely wishes Tempo's Daryl Keenan a good recovery from his shoulder injury sustained in the match. Sunday
morning football came to an end on Sunday, with all of our young players in receipt of a skills certificate and a sports bottle.
The club can only express its gratitude to the coaches who took sessions so well every week. It is a great activity for the
youngsters of our parish and the work done at Sunday morning football is crucial for the future of the Harps. Special
mention to Donal Corrigan and Niall Smyth for their leadership of this aspect of club activity. Under 12 training will
take place this evening at 6.30. The team will have a game this Saturday although the opponents are not yet known. Finally
it was with great sadness that club members heard of the passing of Tom Mc Grath, a Boho St Fabers player, the first sponsor
of the Harps Ladies and uncle of our players Barry and Kevin. Sincere sympathy is extended to the whole Mc Grath family. The
same sentiments are expressed to the Ward and Higgins family on the recent passing of Sean Farmer.
Club Notes | 3rd September
The Lotto jackpot, now £8600, was not won
on Sunday night. The numbers were 3, 7, 9 & 18. £20 each went to Ciara Breen c/o Francie Ward, Mary Cox, Tonagh, and Paddy
Mc Manus, Belleek. The draw will take place in the Knockmore Bar this week.
Congratulations to our Under 16 team who
won their league title against Roslea last Wednesday night. They put in an especially good second half performance and also
played noticeably well as a team. Their behaviour was also excellent. Thank you also to managers Peter, John and Michael.
Good luck to the squad in the championship this Saturday versus St Pats at 3pm. Our Under 12s played out a very well contested
draw against Roslea on Saturday. They worked really hard and this was a really enjoyable hour of football to watch. They train
this evening at 6.30pm.
Well done to our seniors who made it into
the semi final of the senior championship on Sunday. They are down to play Belcoo at 6.30pm on Saturday. The two junior teams
are down to play Erne Gaels at 5.30 and Roslea at 7pm on Sunday evening, both games are at home.
The club wishes to express its condolences
to Henry Greene and family, and also to the Corrigan family on the death of Susan Greene last week. We extend the same sympathy
to Joe Mc Gurn on the passing of Willie Mc Gurn, from the Barrs of Boho last week.
Committee members please note that the September
meeting will be on Thursday 11th.
Club Notes | 16th July
Ulster final tickets will be distributed to members from the clubrooms on Thursday night from 8pm
until 9pm. Any other people who had placed orders should come after 9pm. The club is not in a position to take any
more orders this week. If you are looking for tickets, you are respectfully directed to the Fermanagh Supporters shop or Ticketmaster.ie.
There will not be any Sunday morning football this week. There will be Under 12 training this evening
at 6.30pm. Good luck to our minors in their championship semi final versus Roslea on Saturday evening in Lisnaskea at 8pm.
No Lotto winner on Sunday night. The numbers drawn were 16, 18, 20 & 24. £20 each went
to Larry Hoy, Monea, Gerard Keown, Cashel and Florrie Owens Kinawley. On July 6th, the numbers were 3, 6, 18, 27.
The £20 consolation winners were Nicky McKenna Drumgormley, M McManus Kinawley, Joanne McKenna Drumary. Next weeks Lotto is
in the Linnett Inn and the jackpot is £7900. Lotto sellers and patrons are advised that
there will be a bumper lotto on Sunday night. Five £50 prizes plus a seller’s prize of £50 must be won whether the jackpot
is won or not. Congratulations to Adele Gallagher on winning an Ulster Intermediate
Championship medal versus Cavan the other week, and progressing in the All Ireland qualifiers versus Wexford last weekend.
All the best to our county team on Sunday in the Ulster final, with special good wishes to Paul Ward and Jonathan
Mc Gurn.
Club Notes | 22nd June
The Lotto jackpot was not won on Sunday night. The numbers were 9, 11, 19 & 24. £20 each went to
Anne Cox, Boho, Geraldine Galligan, Belleek and Pat & Charlie, c/o Knockmore Bar. The Jackpot is now £7600 and this week’s
draw will be in the Knockmore Bar.
Our seniors are scheduled to play two league games this weekend, away to Brookboro and Tempo. Please
check Herald fixtures to confirm these. Our Junior A squad produced another grandstand finish to grab the points away to Tempo
on Friday night 2-7 to 0-11, while our Junior B squad were possibly flattered by a five point margin away to the Gaels' thirds.
They put together a great defensive effort in the final third of the match.
Good luck to our Under 10 squad in the final of the St Patrick’s tournament on Saturday afternoon
at 1.45. Prior to the final, our squad players will also be playing in the blitz which is being held on both pitches. All
players should be at Canon Maguire Park for 11.00 sharp. All youth committee members are requested to make themselves available
to help out with the Blitz.
Congratulations to the Fermanagh team on giving the county a great day on Saturday, the club wishes
the squad, especially our own members Paul and Jonathan, well in their preparations for the Ulster final.
Regarding tickets, obviously allocations or anything of that nature are not in place yet, but Anita
is taking preliminary orders for Clones.
Well done to our Under 14s, who had a good win over Newtown in the preliminary round of the championship.
They showed a good attitude after a shaky enough opening spell. They were down to play Aghadrumsee in the quarter final last
night. Our minors’ championship quarter final against Lisnaskea has been put back til next Sunday July 6th.
All team managers/coaches should note that Gerald Greene is looking after the pitch and changing rooms
etc until July 4th.
Club Notes | 18th June
The Lotto jackpot, now £7500, was not won on Sunday night. The numbers were 8, 9, 10 & 15. £20 consolations
went to Declan Gilleece, Boho, Stephen Kearns, c/o Tracey Concrete & May Gallagher, Derrygonnelly. The draw this Sunday
night will be in Doogie’s Bar.
Tickets ordered for the Fermanagh versus Derry match will be distributed on Friday evening from half
eight til half nine at the clubrooms.
All forms for the Cul Camp in August must be handed in this week to Niall Smyth. If you have not got
a form please contact Niall during work hours on 66320456. Similarly, remaining forms for the U14 Development Camp should
be handed in to Brendan or Anita Rasdale this week.
Our Junior A team grabbed two points at the death on Saturday evening versus Teemore, showing good mental
toughness when under serious pressure in the final stages.
Well done to our Ladies team who had a good win over Maguiresbridge in the championship at the weekend.
Good luck to our U14 boys who take on Newtownbutler this evening in the championship in Lisnaskea. The bus will be leaving
the Casson at 6.15. The Under 10s played very well against Devenish last Friday night. They have qualified for the final of
the St Patrick’s tournament on Saturday 28th of June. Would all Youth committee members please try to be
available to help with the conclusion of the tournament that day.
Finally, the club would like to extend its sympathies to the Gaffney family on the passing of Mrs Gaffney
last week.
Club Notes | 3rd June
The Lotto jackpot was not won on Sunday night.
The numbers were 2, 13, 19 and 26. £20 consolations went to Conor Gilleece, Boho, Patrick Gilroy, Derrygonnelly, and Peter
Hoy, Monea. The draw for this weekend's £7300 jackpot will be in Irene's Cosy Bar.
The June monthly meeting will take place on
Thursday night at 9pm.
Good luck to our minors in their league semi
final against Maguiresbridge on Friday night in Kinawley.
Our Under 10's played very well on Friday
evening away to Belleek. This Friday evening sees them at home versus Irvinestown and all players are to be at
the pitch for 7pm. Our junior A's put in a super second half performance to take a victory against Lisnaskea on Saturday
evening, our Junior B's competed equally well in the second period away to Kinawley but had left themselves too much to do after
a slack first half. It was a tough weekend for our seniors as they shipped two defeats, whereas the Friday night performance
had few redeeming features, the game on Sunday was very well contested indeed, and the team will play worse than that and
win games, so there is something to build on from there. In fairness, both teams took some very good scores indeed. Finally,
in terms of the match versus Derry, the cut off date for ticket requests is Sunday evening June 15th. Get your requests
in as promptly as possible. Respectfully, people are asked not to telephone after half ten at night. For information
also, Healy Park only has one side with seating.
Club Notes | 23rd April
The lotto jackpot, now £6700, was not won
on Sunday night. The numbers were 1, 5, 26 & 27. £20 consolations went to Jim Hoy and Paul Thompson, both Derrygonnelly,
and Denis Kelly, Springfield. The draw this Sunday night will be in Old Pals Bar.
Good luck to our Under 14 squad who
face up to Enniskillen Gaels in the Feile na nOg final this Saturday at 4.00pm in Belcoo. They defeated Teemore in the semi
final on Saturday last. To say that this is a David versus Goliath match probably doesn’t do justice to the size of
the task facing the team, but they have applied themselves very well this year and made great strides so far, so who knows.?
They’ll give it their best shot, that’s for sure. Thank you to Noel Davis who stood in as ref at short notice
on Saturday and did a grand job.
Our Under 16 squad have training at 7.30pm
on Thursday evening at Canon Maguire Park.
Sunday morning football continues now every
Sunday beginning at 11.15. All participants must be properly registered, so any player who has a registration form is reminded
to return it this Sunday. Similarly, membership of £5 per child or £20 family membership is payable.
Membership is still due for playing and non
playing members. Sean Mc Laughlin, Main St will receive membership fees from non players for 2008 in his shop until Saturday
May 3rd. Please pay this fee if you intend to get tickets for the Monaghan match in the Ulster championship. Members
will be looked after firstly, non members thereafter, if possible at all.
It looks like our first senior match of the
season will be at home to county champions Newtown on May 4th. Our Junior B squad had a good win over St Pats in
a very entertaining encounter on Saturday evening with a last gasp solo effort from Noel Gallagher getting us a one point
win, plus some excellent defending and an outstanding late save by keeper Finbar Maguire. They are away to Devenish
this Saturday.
Our Ladies team had a good win over Irvinestown
on Saturday evening, we wish Imelda Mc Govern a speedy recovery from her hand injury and thank Laura Costford for her help
with this injury and for bringing Imelda to hospital.
The club would like to extend its sympathies
to the immediate and extended family of Tommy Brennan, Braade, who passed away last week.
The
Clinton Centre hosts some top class Irish music next Monday night when top stars Mairead Ni Mhaonaigh, of Altan fame, plus
bouzouki master Ciaran Curran take the stage on the Rodseo na Gaeilge at 8pm, admission £8.
Club Notes | 9th April
Committee members should note that the club’s April meeting will take
place on Thursday night at 9pm.
The Lotto jackpot, now £6500, was not won on Sunday night. The numbers were
3, 8, 13 & 15. £20 consolations went to Francis Rasdale, Boho, Kevin Bannon, Boho and Wendy Graham, Garrison. The draw
this Sunday night will be held in Doogie’s Bar.
Both of the club’s junior teams were in action over the weekend, the
Junior A's were up in Garrison and put in a very good second half to take a win, the B squad were in Irvinestown and weren’t
able to hold on in the final quarter, eventually losing on a 0-12 to 1-6 scoreline.
The Ladies had a good start to their season on Saturday evening when they
recorded an away win over Erne Gaels on a 3-6 to 0-4 scoreline. They were in command throughout the tie and now play St Pats
this weekend. Our Under 16 girls had a well contested tie against Devenish last Thursday evening, just losing out by three
points in the end.
Membership is due at the moment, the fee is ten pounds for adults, or £20
family membership (this does not include offspring who are over eighteen), note that membership will be more of an issue this
year when the tickets are being distributed for the all ticket championship matches. Please pay any committee member who will
pass the fee on to our club secretary who in turn will return you a membership card. Are you an active club person who has
forgot to pay yet? Please rectify this!
Please note that a super range of club merchandise is in stock in Lena’s
Salon, Main Street. This includes shorts, socks, rugby style polo shirts, hoodies, tracksuits, replica jerseys, kit bags etc.

the club website by following the merchandise link. The website is kept well up to date on http://derrygonnellyharps.tripod.com/
There is an important course for all Fermanagh
referees, new and existing referees must attend. The course will be facilitated by Ryan Mellon from the Ulster Council and
will take place in the Clinton centre on Thursday 10th April at 7.30pm.
Club Notes | 26th March
The Lotto jackpot, now £6300, was
not won on Sunday night. The numbers were 1, 5, 19 & 24. Extra consolation prizes were awarded as follows: £50 each to
James Corrigan and Teresa Leonard, both Derrygonnelly, £30 each to Pat Mc Grath, Boho, Ann Mc Hugh, Boho, and Martin Gosling,
Derrygonnelly. Sellers prize £25 to John Mc Govern.
There will be a short Senior Ladies
meeting immediately after training on Thursday night. This meeting will allow details of fixtures etc. to be finalised. Given
the Easter break, it is expected that all players attend this week's training and meeting.
There will be Under 14 training
this evening at 6.15 pm sharp. The team plays a second challenge match this
Saturday away to Derrylin. Benny’s bus will be leaving Main Street at
3pm. They lost out to St Joseph’s on Saturday on a 5-7 to 4-5 scoreline
in a good contest. The team will have taken a lot of encouragement from this performance against a well established Division
One team.
Our Minors are scheduled to play their first league match next Wednesday against Derrylin at home. Good
luck to them in their campaign.
Club Notes | 19th March
The Lotto jackpot, now £6200, was
not won on Sunday night. The numbers were 2, 3, 11 & 17. £20 consolations went to Karl Kehoe, Lisbellaw, Noel Gallagher,
Stratore and Geraldine Galligan, Belleek. The draw this Sunday night will be held in Old Pals Bar.
Would all team managers please
note that the training pitch will remain closed until after this Sunday 23rd of March.
The Under 14 squad have an
away challenge match versus Ederney on Saturday morning. The bus will be leaving Main Street at half past nine.
Good luck to Fermanagh Under
21s on Saturday when they take on Derry in the Ulster Championship, and special
good wishes to our own clubmen Michael Jones, who captains the side, Eamon Mc Hugh and Sean Meehan.
Our Senior team had a good win
over Drumquin on Saturday in a very useful challenge match. Their league preparations continue this weekend with a challenge
versus Augher.
Membership is due at the moment,
the fee is ten pounds for adults, or £20 family membership (this does not include offspring who are over eighteen), note that
membership will be more of an issue this year when the tickets are being distributed for the all ticket championship matches.
Please pay any committee member who will pass the fee on to our club secretary who in turn will return you a membership card.
Please note that a super
range of club merchandise is in stock in Lena’s Salon, Main Street. This includes shorts, socks, rugby style polo shirts, hoodies, tracksuits,
replica jerseys, kit bags etc. We are very grateful to Lena for giving the
club this outlet in such a prominent location. Some of the kit can be viewed on the club website by following the merchandise
link. The website is kept well up to date on http://derrygonnellyharps.tripod.com/ and anyone who wishes, can receive the notes on a regular basis by clicking on the mailing list facility. Ronan is very
keen to put any club information or match reports etc up on the website so send him material to derrygonnellyharps@hotmail.com and it will appear on the website.

Club Notes | 12th March
The club’s March meeting takes place
tomorrow night at 8.30pm in the clubrooms.
The Lotto jackpot, now £6100
was not won on Sunday night. The numbers were 1, 6, 19 & 24. £20 consolations went to Roger Flanagan, Garrison, Fiona
Gibson, Enniskillen and Ciaran Swift, Derrygonnelly. The draw will be in the Knockmore Bar this Sunday night.
Training takes place for our
Under 14s this evening at 6.30pm and on Sunday at 11.00. Turnouts have been excellent so far. A challenge match has been arranged
versus St Joseph's Ederney for the morning of March 22nd.
Good luck to St Michael’s
College and our own club player Ryan Jones as they play Dungannon next Monday in the MacRory Cup final.
Club membership is now due. It
is £10 per adult, £5 for and £20 for family membership. This is payable to any committee member or team management at training.
It is worth noting that membership of the club will be the criteria used when the club is distributing tickets for the Ulster
championship later this year. It is pretty certain that the match versus Monaghan will be all ticket. Strangely, it is people
who are active in the club who are often those who forget to pay membership. Save us some hassle and don't forget this
year folks!
Ladies training continues on
Mondays and Thursdays, turnouts have been average enough, and we would encourage all panellists to increase their efforts
over the coming weeks.
------------------------------
Club Notes | 5th March
The club’s monthly meeting will not take place this Thursday night,
but has been rescheduled for Thursday March 13th at 8.30pm.

the club in the Scor Sinsear at Tempo recently, unfortunately, she lost out in the Ulster semi final last weekend, but we

(Maggie, Chris & Lorena Maguire) for their efforts in the county competition.
All club merchandise is now available from Lena’s Salon, Main Street.
This includes, socks, shorts, hoodies, replica jerseys, rugby style polo shirts, tracksuits, bags etc to suit all ages and

Club Notes | 27th February
The Lotto jackpot, now £5900, was not won on Sunday night. The numbers were
1, 3, 6 & 18. £20 consolations were won by Margaret Meehan, Belleek, Sean Flood, Derrygonnelly and Alannah Corrigan, Derrygonnelly.
The draw this Sunday night will be in Mc Kenzies. The clubs Youth AGM was one of the most successful for some time and

Under 12 Garry Smyth, John Mc Govern and Ryan Jones, Under 14 Brendan Rasdale and Eugene Jones, Under 16 Peter Jones and John
Ferguson, Under 18 John Murphy, Michael Glynn and Stephen Jones. Good luck to all of our coaches. It seems that the minor
league will be the first competition of the season, possibly beginning on Easter Monday, with the Under 14s up next in
the Feile on April 5th and League on April 8th. We are still actively seeking managers for our ladies teams at Under 14, Under 16
and senior level and would urge anyone with a few hours a week to spare to help out this very important side of our club
activities. Congratulations to Ryan Jones and St Michaels on qualifying for the MacRory Cup final on St Patrick's Day,
the club wishes him all the best in the weeks ahead preparing for the match versus Dungannon. Adele Gallagher also played
very well for Fermanagh in their first match in the National League on Sunday, good luck to Adele and her colleagues in the
remainder of the campaign.
------------------------------------------
Club Notes | 20th Feb
Our Youth AGM has been rescheduled for tomorrow, Thursday night February
21st, owing to a clash of meetings. We apologise for the change but would still be very keen that anyone who can
offer any help will attend at 8.30 pm in the clubrooms.
Our ladies teams are also in need of someone who might manage them
this year, please contact Hugh Kelly if you have any assistance to offer.
The lotto jackpot, now £5800, was not won on Sunday night. The numbers were
12, 13, 17 & 22. £20 winners were Ronan Rasdale, Boho, Vince Foy, Derrygonnelly and Eddie Gallagher, Monea. The draw this
week will be in Irene’s Cosy Bar.
Our Dinner Dance at the Hotel Carlton was very well attended on Saturday
night and was a very enjoyable evening indeed. Thank you very much to Patsy Dolan, who made the medal presentations on behalf
of the county board and full marks to our organising committee who got things just right again.
Following on from a decent attendance of club coaches at last week’s
tackling session, coaches are reminded of the upcoming course ‘Games for Better Decision Making’ which takes place
on Thu Feb 28th at Lissan at 7.30pm. The tutor for this observation session is Diarmuid Marsden. We are still taking
names for the foundation course in March too, please contact Anita or Pat.

The Lotto jackpot, now £5600, was not won on Sunday night. The numbers
were 5, 6, 13 & 22. £20 consolations went to Darren Duffy, Monea, Darragh Mc Govern, Lisdoodan and John Carroll, Knockmore
Park. The draw this Sunday night will be in The Knockmore Bar.
The club’s February meeting will take place this Thursday night
at 8.30pm in the clubrooms.
The club has reorganised a very important meeting for Ladies Football
for this Friday night in the clubrooms at 7.30pm. The level of interest displayed at a similar meeting recently was very disappointing,
and a decent turnout is essential this time around, of players, helpers and parents. Please note that this meeting is going
to be critical in terms of whether or not we will be fielding at underage or adult level this year.
The club would like to express its condolences to Hugh Flanagan on
the passing of his wife Mrs Gemma Flanagan recently.
Dinner Dance tickets are currently on sale from committee members for
the celebration dance on February 16th, priced £15. The dinner will be in The Carlton Hotel, Belleek, and both
of our successful Junior sides from 2007 will be receiving their medals at this event.
The club’s 2008 calendar, in aid of Ulster Cancer Foundation
raised £500 which was forwarded on to the organisation last week. Thank you to the six businesses who assisted with the initial
costs of the project, namely Derrygonnelly Credit Union, Tiles n Timber, Flexicabs, Macneary Rasdale & Co, Refresh Salon
and Diamond Cabs. Thank you also to Tom Mc Gowan for supplying most of the photos.
Good luck to our seniors who are at home to Aghayaran this Sunday
in the Ulster League, they had a decent performance against Ballyshannon on Sunday in monsoon conditions, and management
will have been relatively happy with a number of decent individual performances.
